Eastern HRM Community Engagement Session
On Saturday, March 29, 2014, a community engagement session was held in Oyster Pond. The communities of Eastern HRM (Lake Echo to Ecum Secum and Musquodoboit Valley) came together to look at the strategic priorities for the entire region. Approximately 70 enthusiastic people from the community attended and participated in the event.
The engagement session included: capturing existing community visions and plans, looking for commonalities, getting community input via a community meeting and create a strategic statement that can be used as a starting point for the region to look at their overall strategic priorities.
Thank you to all community participants and your commitment to the eastern HRM region!
Based on the exercises conducted during the event, the community created a strategic plan of the group’s vision, mission, core values, strategic priorities and the identification of specific goals and objectives.
